Our team at Boxed Water was eager to put 2020 in the rearview mirror and start focusing our energy on the exciting things planned for 2021. With that being said, we’re so excited to announce that Boxed Water is adding four subtly flavored water varieties to our lineup. These flavors are intended to refresh, renew and rejuvenate us in the new year. Here is everything else you need to know about our new flavors….and remember, we are still the most sustainably packaged water in the aisle.
1) Why Flavors?
We’ve spent the last 10 years innovating our product and educating consumers about the problem with single-use plastic bottles. It was only two years ago that the plastic problem started to hit the news regularly. But finally, people are beginning to truly understand the devastating impact that plastic is having on our planet. As we carry on with our mission to tackle plastic pollution, we are eager to introduce more people to our plant-based cartons with our new flavor line.
Many people kicked off 2021 determined to trade in their favorite sugary beverages for a healthier alternative. And while staying hydrated is known to have both mental and physical benefits, it might be hard to commit to “plain” water alone if you’re someone who is used to a variety of drink options. Boxed Water Is Even Better with Cucumber, Lemon, Grapefruit or Blackberry!
2) How Did You Pick The Flavors?
When it comes to water, everyone’s taste preferences are different. People tweak their water based on a myriad of factors like time-of-day, mood or energy. So, we started with our own team and what we personally liked.
Then, we did extensive research to determine which flavors would work well when mixed with our 8-step purification process, which includes reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, and mineral removal for purity, giving Boxed Water its clean, crisp taste. We’re very excited to introduce Cucumber, Lemon, Blackberry, & Grapefruit. We tested, remixed, and tested again, until we got it just right.
Our name is on the line and we felt a lot of responsibility to get this right and meet our community’s expectations. Everybody has their own favorite, but the real fun was exploring each others’ ideas. Cucumber has a very calming effect, while Blackberry is more of an afternoon treat. Both Lemon and Grapefruit brighten our mornings. We can’t wait to hear what our fans say!
3) What Sizes Are Available?
Boxed Water is launching its new flavor line with its most popular carton size — the 500mL. That’s 16.9 ounces of flavored fun in a 92% plant-based box that is 100% recyclable and a better alternative than flavored water in aluminum cans or plastic bottles. They are available on-line in both 12 and 24 packs. We also have a variety pack available.
